FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How much does it cost to compete?
A: For the 2009 season the cost is $2 per competition or $20 for the year.

Q: How long is the crawling season?
A: We typically start competing in mid-April and end in mid-October.

Q: Is it just 1 series all year?
A: No, we actually split the season into 2 series: Spring & Fall

Q: Why 2 series?
A: The USRCCA Nationals qualifiers need to be submitted by July 1st.  Because of this, we end our first series in June, and start a second series in July.  The winners of the Spring series are the qualifiers for the Nationals.  This also gives people who came in part-way in the year a chance to start fresh.

Q: What do we do for pitting?
A: We pit from our cars.  There is no power supply to use other than your car battery.

Q: Are pit tables or EZ-Ups allowed?
A: No.  As mentioned above we pit from our cars.  There is no good space to setup tables.

Q: What classes are there?
A: 3 classes: 1.9", 2.2", and Supers.  Please see the Rules Page for details on the classes.

Q: Is there a minimun age requirement to compete?
A: No age requirements; however, keep in mind that footing is not always the best where we compete.  We are traversing rocky terrain.  There is a bit of a safety risk whenever walking on rocks and common sense needs to be used.  This enviroment may not be the best for some people.  Use your best judgement keeping safety in mind.
