Comp #5 of the 2009 Spring series will be held at the Thomson Dam by Jay Cooke Park in Carlton, MN.  WE WILL NOT BE AT TAYLORS FALLS THIS WEEKEND! 

6/13/09 Saturday afternoon/night we will run scalers.  Depending on the turnout of the scalers we may do a competition for them.  This would be our first scaler competition, so it would just be for fun.  If there's not a big enough turnout it will just be a get together. 

6/14/09 Sunday will be the comp as normal.  Since this is our first comp away from Taylors and are unsure of how big of a turn out we will get, we are planning on using the same times as usual (9am sign in, 10am comp start).  We will use this event as a baseline for future comps.

Indian Point Campgrounds are the only campgrounds that we found to have available camping that weekend.  Click Here for their info.

Directions:
From the South: Take I35 north to Hwy 210.  Head east on Hwy 210 for about 4 or 5 miles.  You will pass through Carlton.  After Carlton you will cross a bridge and see the Thomson Dam on your left.  Immediately after the bridge there's a parking lot on the left hand side.  Park in this lot.  The crawling spot is within walking distance just across the street.

From the North: Take I35 south to Hwy 45.  Head south on Hwy 45 until Hwy 210.  Take Hwy 210 east.  You will cross a bridge and see the Thomson Dam on your left.  Immediately after the bridge there's a parking lot on the left hand side.  Park in this lot.  The crawling spot is within walking distance just across the street.
